I’ve been told my critiques cut too sharp, the world is dull If iron sharpens iron, I can see why you won’t get the point Am I indulging in my own self-righteousness, Or am I watching a fall we refuse to acknowledge Because the cost is too much to pull the parachute’s cord You can ask what is leadership Is it ten different dealerships, a square on the Monopoly board Bosses barking orders, ignoring workers breaking down Is it the money in hand, a throne beneath, a finger tracing maps Redrawing lines like history ain’t already written in blood
A watered-down rule masquerading as power Spewing nonsense, talking circles around the truth We need help in this last hour So I’ll keep tearing down, sharp and relentless Until we all come to our senses Until you ask, why does he keep harping? Then the truth will split your lip,
A leader is from the people, for the people Ignore the obvious, and you expose yourself
I’m tired of saying im tired But I’m wired to see this through I’ll scream it Yell it Shout it until my dying breath
Morality is on trial Our decision the judge Future generations the jury And the blame of the dead body laid at our feet
We failed with a vote, we failed to fight back The blame is set on the people Fingers point to us from the ones we appointed We walked past the one who was anointed, they weren’t even considered
So I’m mad- are you mad?
Im past anger
Im seething
Disgusted
Livid
Indignant
Spiteful
While we keep electing the ones who smile and trifle,
Playing games with the power we gave them
Then praying that God would save us, Shameless
God gave us the power, so who is really to blame?
