Administrative Positions
Social Media Coordinator
- Generate and manage the flow of traffic toward the Seven Story Publishing website.
- Maintain a consistent post schedule to ensure Seven Story Publishing doesn’t fall behind in advertising and marketing efforts.
- Maintain daily communication with the founder of Seven Story Publishing to determine appropriate budget for marketing and advertising.
- Keeping all social media platforms neat, efficient, and organized to ensure maximum effectiveness in reaching desired audiences.
- Devising and implementing efficient and effective marketing strategies which allow Seven Story Publishing to experience exponential growth.
Website Coordinator
- Manage and organize the daily volume of author submissions.
- Correspond with authors and ensure all requirements are met, contracts are signed, and submission fees are paid.
- Organize categories based on various stages of submission processes for maximum efficiency.
- Schedule and post content daily on Seven Story Publishing website and YouTube Channel.
- Reach out to authors who meet the criteria to be paid out (website and YouTube channel) for direct deposit information.
- Select and compile the most popular content on the website each month and send it to the Graphic Designer for publishing.
Accounts Payable Clerk
- Ensure financial statements and tax documents are accurate.
- Keep a steady ledger regarding revenue, expenses, and payroll.
- Ensure all employees and authors get paid on time, every time.
- Maintain daily communication with the founder of Seven Story Publishing regarding system updates and processes.
- Devise and implement more efficient ways of ensuring a seamless payment process between the website, employees, and authors meant to be paid out.
Graphic Designer
- Compile and format most popular content from Seven Story Publishing website.
- Design aesthetically pleasing cover to attract readership and author submissions.
- Maintain communication with the owner of Seven Story Publishing throughout the creative process.
- Publish monthly issues from June to December in all formats (Kindle, Audiobook, Paperback, Hardback)
- Send images and media to the social media coordinator for marketing and advertising.
Tax Accountant
- Coordinate with accounts payable clerk to ensure financial statements are accurate.
- Examine financial statements for any and all tax deductions and business expenses.
- Ensure all deductions, business expenses, and exemptions are present on all necessary tax forms
- Consolidate all business assets and liabilities and present them to the Founder of Seven Story Publishing for records.
- Maintain weekly communication with Founder of Seven Story Publishing to ensure all information needed to reduce tax rates are present at all times.
Administrative Assistant
- Organize and Forward emails to Writers, Interviewers, and book reviewers
- Answer author’s and artist’s questions and inquiries
- Communicate with Founder/CEO should any unforeseen scenarios occur.
- Ensure submission fees and all other sales are appropriately paid for.
- Bring any concerns or grievances of other positions to Founder/CEO’s attention
- Schedule meetings for applicants with Founder/CEO or Team Leader (if applicable)
Staff Positions
Author Interviewer
- Promotes Seven Story Publishing’s author interview service.
- Corresponds with interested authors and artists.
- Schedules date and time for interviews.
- Conducts thirty minute or hour long interviews depending on what the author or artist wants.
- Collects written responses along with author bios, social media links, and graphics to use as featured images.
- Posts written interview on main site and sends the link to the author or artist so they can share and promote.
- Ensures the author or artist is tagged on social media posts when the interview is published (if applicable).
Writer/Editor
- Write primarily for our Writing Insights category on subjects such as world building, character development, tips for writers, etc.
- Occasionally provide filler content for magazines lagging in submissions (except Seven Memories Magazine).
- Proofread author submissions for readability, spelling, punctuation, and occasional Grammar errors.
- Make slight edits to author submissions that improve its appeal on our website without changing the author’s voice.
- Assist Website Coordinator in sorting author submissions into correct categories and other tasks.
Book Reviewer
- Seeks out books to review on Seven Story Publishing’s Reedsy Reviewer Account and company Kindle Unlimited subscription.
- Creates Reels and Short videos about books they have reviewed.
- Promotes books they have reviewed on social media.
- Read and review a minimum of two to four books per month.
Author Services Specialist
- Executes services on sales made by Seven Story Specialists
- Fulfills free author services requested by first time authors
- Coordinate with Seven Story Specialists regarding questions and inquiries
- Promotes Seven Story Publishing’s free services on social media
- Facilitates author enlistment for free services.
Seven Story Specialist*
- Acquire and maintain a thorough understanding of how Seven Story works and helps authors facilitate achieving their goals and ambitions.
- Answer Seven Story members’ questions and inquiries.
- Responds to emails from Seven Story Members promptly.
- Search and canvas leads for Seven Story membership
- Facilitate Seven Story purchases to completion.
- Serve as a representative for Seven Story Voice.
