Listen up, can you hear the truth?
There is no rehab in prisons,
just a cage of lies,
Where cockroaches scurry
like they own the place,
Dancing on our food,
while we starve in disgrace.
Hours stretch like shadows
on this cold, hard bed,
No dreams to cradle us,
just silence instead.
We’re nothing but numbers,
just bodies on display,
In this hellhole of despair,
we were thrown away.
The guards, they bring the drugs,
a twisted little game,
Pushing poison through the bars,
feeding off our shame.
They fuck us in closets,
where the light never shines,
Power plays and violence,
blurring all the lines.
We’re taught to shut up,
to swallow our pain,
In a world full of chaos,
where nothing’s the same.
Fights break out like storms,
but we’re told to comply,
While the darkness surrounds us,
and we wonder why.
Wet feet on the concrete,
the filth all around,
No mental health support,
just screams that compound.
Locked in this prison,
where hope’s lost its fight,
In the corners of madness,
we’re swallowed by night.
So hear me now,
this is our cry,
There is no rehab in prisons,
just a slow, painful die.
We’re craving redemption,
but it’s nowhere in sight,
In this cycle of suffering,
we’re losing the light.
So let the world know,
we’re not just a face,
We’re human, we’re broken,
but we’re still in this race.
This anger, this fury,
it’s a fire that burns,
A demand for our voices,
for the change that we yearn.
There is no rehab in prison.
